Welcome to our website! Our preschool is a mission of Makiki Christian Church and we are here to "Honor God by demonstrating His love to the children and families of our preschool." It is because of God's love and our commitment that the preschool exists.
I want to warmly welcome all families and children as we are excited to offer many opportunities for developing relationships as well as varied, stimulating and challenging learning experiences for children—and all within a safe, nurturing, and Christian environment. We strive to make children's experiences at Makiki Christian Church Preschool a positive and nurturing opportunity that encourages growth emotionally, physcially, cognitively, socially, and spiritually.
We are nationally accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children and we utilize Developmentally Appropriate Practices, following the Hawaii Early Learning and Developmental Standards. We work collaboratibvely with parents in meeting the needs of all children.
We invite all who are interested in our preschool to look through our website. If you are interested in our preschool, I encourage you to email or call me at 594-8916 as I will be happy to meet with you and give you a tour of our beautiful and cheerful setting.
Thank you for your interest in our preschool. We are excited and look forward to hearing from you.
For the love of His children,
Sandra Ishihara-Shibata, Director
